Who can request a user account for the library catalogue?

Third parties who are unable to provide solid proof of their professional interest are allowed to use the catalogue research function to search for media but can only order items from the IZW collections from their local library through interlibrary loans. Access restrictions also apply to internally licensed information content.

BAW and WSV employees can request a user account. IZW services are free for this user group.

Usage rights are also granted to other federal authorities in Germany by way of administrative assistance.

External subject specialists may also be admitted as users subject to restrictions. They will be required to pay a fee for borrowing, copying and carrying out literature research. If you would like to request an account, please contact the library team.
