Ordering and Borrowing

Users without a user account can order IZW media from their local library (university library, regional library, council library) through interlibrary loans. The terms and conditions of the library through which you are ordering apply.

Some library collections are available to individuals and legal entities who can prove a justified interest of an academic, professional, technical or official nature in particular. External specialists can request a user account by contacting izw@baw.de .

Use is also extended to other German federal agencies by way of administrative assistance.

Once they have logged into the research system, users with a user account can order IZW collections (after login) straight from the search results list. The service is free for BAW and WSV employees.

External specialists must pay loan fees, cf. usage regulations. If you would like to borrow books from the KFKI library, you first need to obtain a KFKI account.
